Chipping Sodbury Town Hall
Seventies soul sensation Kokomo return to Chipping Sodbury, playing in concert at the Town Hall.
Formed in 1973, Kokomo built their reputation and loyal following with awesome live shows. A series of packed reunion gigs since 2014 has proved that the band is grooving as well as ever.
In 1973 the band were instantly a hit and by early 1975 had joined the seminal ‘Naughty Rhythms’ tour alongside Dr. Feelgood and Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers and had signed with CBS, launching their self-titled debut album later that summer.
Widely acknowledged as the pioneers of British Soul the band have been playing to packed venues ever since seven of the original ten band members reformed in 2014.
Event organise Liz Jenkins says: 'We are absolutely delighted with the response since tickets went on sale and we are looking forward to hearing this extraordinary group of musicians again.'
