POSTPONED - Quiz Night

Horton and Little Sodbury Village Hall

Following Government and other guidance, and as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the Village Hall Committee has made the reluctant decision to close the village hall completely with effect from this Friday 20th March until the end of May.

We will keep a close eye on developments and as the pandemic progresses, we'll keep our closure policy under review and will keep you updated.

The closure means that the quiz planned for 27 March, the Bull Run on 26 April and the quintet on 2 May will all be rearranged to dates later in the year.

Once the hall reopens, we will need to ramp up our fundraising efforts to make up for the shortfall in our hire and fundraising income which we will incur whilst we are closed. The hall costs about £14,000 pa to run, half of which we usually raise from hall hire and half from fundraising.

Just to clarify, the village hall car park is still available for use by the school for dropoff/pickup as usual, and the field can still be used. We recommend however that you stick to the recommended 'social distancing' measures outlined here:

With our best wishes in these difficult times,

The Village Hall Committee
