The Avon Cycleway is an 85 mile cycle route encircling Bristol, mostly along quiet country lanes. It passes through Wickwar and Horton, skirts the northern edge of Yate, into Iron Acton and Coalpit Heath before joining the Avon Ring Road path and the Bristol-Bath Railway path.
Organised by the Members and Friends of the Rotary club of Chipping Sodbury, the aim is to provide a sportive experience that is equal to the best sportives in the UK while all profits from the event will be given to charity.
Yate Community Bike hub is a volunteer-run initiative started by Climate Action Yate and Chipping Sodbury in May 2022 with a mission to help people move around Yate and Sodbury by bike. We host events, training and a volunteer bike workshop to help people learn basic maintenance skills and to refurbish donated bikes for distribution to families in need.
Our friendly Hub volunteers are on hand to chat all things bike so please come and visit us any Saturday from 10-3 and Monday or Wednesday 2-5pm.
