You may be involved in one task or a combination of different tasks:
- Welcome and assist our customers, donors and other visitors to the shop in a polite and professional manner.
- Assist customers with purchases – product selection and information, using the till, taking payment and packing goods.
- Supporting fundraising initiatives, including the promotion of the St Peter’s Lottery
- Receive donations and thank donors. Take donor gift aid details or encourage new donors to sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Prepare donated goods for sale.
- Sort donations to the required standards of the organisation. Assess items for quality and suitability for sale.
- Price goods for sale in accordance with guidelines.
- Create interesting, visually attractive and sellable displays, considering current trends, season and particular promotions.
- To assist with administration tasks including completing paperwork and computer research.
- To act as a key holder to allow staff to take short breaks.
