Sodbury Common Wildflower Planting
10.30am-2pm
A large field on Sodbury Common is being converted to a wildflower meadow, funded by the West of England Combined Authority and Sodbury Town Council. The field is located on the left of Horton Road as you head away from Chipping Sodbury, and will be clearly marked on the day. What3words location for the field entrance is nothing.squirts.kidney.
The vast majority of the field will be seeded with mixed grass and wildflower seed, but a small area is to be planted with 4000 plants to give the local community the opportunity to become involved in this exciting project.
Each ticket will entitle the ticket holder to plant 30 plants in a marked out 3m by 3m square. Please bring a trowel and gloves with you, and wear sturdy footwear.
Everybody attending the event is encouraged to walk or cycle to the site as there are no parking facilities. The nearest parking is on the Ridings. Please do not park on the common.
It should be noted that there are no toilet facilities available.
