Hawkesbury Upton Village Hall
This month's talk will take place at 8:00pm in the village hall Friday 15th November. The talk by Sir Ian Macfadyen will describe his journey in Saudi Arabia to explore the Hejaz Railway that followed the ancient pilgrimage road between Damascus and Medina. The talk will include descriptions and illustrations of the route, the railway’s construction, and accounts of attacks by Lawrence of Arabia and Bedouin forces during the Arab Revolt, 1916-1918.
