A great activity workshop for kids, we'll show them how to use a sewing machine safely and take them through the process of measuring, cutting, and construction of a cool padded envelope bag suitable for holding tablet or similar.

PRICE £40

The content of the session will offer children the opportunity to learn new techniques and cultivate their sewing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

It's a great entry-level course, suitable for children with little or no sewing experience as well as for those who are more confident and competent. We tailor our sessions to ensure that everyone gets tuition that is suitable for their level of competence and confidence.

Sewing machines and a set of instructions will be provided. We will email joining instructions ahead of the workshop which will include a shopping list of any fabrics and notions needed for the session.

Photos for sharing with family, friends and school will be emailed to the booker’s email address after the event and all children will receive a certificate of achievement. We’ll ask you to sign a consent form on behalf of the participant on arrival.

We encourage parents to leave their children in our care and take a two-minute stroll down the road to explore the beautiful Chipping Sodbury high street. We also have a relaxed seating area where parents can sit and enjoy a drink if they’d rather stay at the workshop. Soft drinks and biscuits will be provided at break time.

ABOUT THE STUDIO
Workshops take place at the Harmony Quilt Studio in Chipping Sodbury. The studio is a welcoming and bright creative space filled with beautiful quilts and other makes to inspire creativity. There are tea and coffee making facilities with a couple of relaxed seating area for breaks. We have four parking spaces at the studio and there’s off street parking nearby.

SAFETY
Safety is our number one priority, and we keep our student numbers low so that each child receives adequate supervision.
