Kids' Sewing Workshop - make your own Zippy Pencil Case
Harmony Quilt Studio, Chipping Sodbury
1-4pm
A great activity workshop for kids with some previous experience of using a sewing machine. We'll provide a revision session on how to use a sewing machine safely and then take them through the process of measuring, cutting, and construction of a zippy pencil case. (PLEASE NOTE: actual pencil case pattern may differ from image shown.)
PRICE £40
The content of the session will offer children the opportunity to learn new techniques and cultivate their sewing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
It's a great mid-level course, suitable for children with some sewing experience. We tailor our sessions to ensure that everyone gets tuition that is suitable for their level of competence and confidence.
Sewing machines and a set of instructions will be provided. We will email joining instructions ahead of the workshop which will include a shopping list of any fabrics and notions needed for the session.
Photos for sharing with family, friends and school will be emailed to the booker’s email address after the event and all children will receive a certificate of achievement. We’ll ask you to sign a consent form on behalf of the participant on arrival.
We encourage parents to leave their children in our care and take a two-minute stroll down the road to explore the beautiful Chipping Sodbury high street. We also have a relaxed seating area where parents can sit and enjoy a drink if they’d rather stay at the workshop. Soft drinks and biscuits will be provided at break time.
