Yate Shopping Centre
School and community choirs, along with other musical attractions, will top the bill at Yate Shopping Centre in the weeks running-up to Christmas.
Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager, said: “We are proud to be part of a vibrant community here in Yate and are excited to be able to host and support so many local schools and community choirs throughout the festive period.
“In the week prior to Christmas there will also be entertainment at the Grotto on the days that Father Christmas is not with us, specifically for the youngsters who will have started their school holidays by then."
The remaining Community Events planned, all of which will be around the Central Square in front of the Christmas Grotto, are:
Tuesday 19th December
Elves meet & greet and fun and games 11am – 3pm
Wednesday 20th December
Meet & Greet with Christmas mascot characters 11am – 3pm
Saturday 23rd December
Filton Concert Brass 10am – 2pm
Sunday 24th December
Santa’s Grotto final Day 10am – 1pm
In addition, Santa’s grotto will be open every Saturday and Sunday in the Central Square between 10am and 4pm, and will continue to do so every Saturday and Sunday leading up to Christmas week when it will be open more often, closing at 1pm on Christmas Eve.
