Introduction to Sourdough Bread Making

This class offers a hands-on sourdough bread making experience led by the talented Holly from The Loaf Shack.
Partnering with @everhot_cookers, we bring you Cooking and Food Demonstration in the historic Old Kitchen of Badminton House.
Spend your morning discovering what sourdough bread is, learning how to create and maintain a sourdough starter, and mastering the art of baking delicious artisan bread at home.
During the workshop you will learn how to mix, fold, shape and prove the dough. You will be given your very own reusable oval banneton wicker proving basket to take home your sourdough loaf ready to be baked the next day. You will also make sourdough fougasse and rolls.
Make your own sourdough starter from scratch, with explanations on how to keep this alive and how to use in future loaves you make at home.
As a sweet treat, with the sourdough discards we will make sourdough blueberry muffins.
All equipment provided. Perfect for beginners. Tea and refreshments will be served.
